Payment

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover), and PayPal.  Depending on the situation, we may institute a payment plan with monthly or quarterly payments.  We align invoices with refunds when applicable, so generally our clients are not billed until refunds are issued.

Tax Forms

  • How Can I/We Provide Tax Forms To You?

Our clients use many methods to provide us their tax forms.  Many clients e-mail their documents as files (email: taxhelp@mountaintaxservices.com), some fax them to us.  A few mail forms or USBs with files/documents (Mountain Tax, 1411 N Logan Ave, Danville, IL, 61832). We've used a few online file sharing programs with clients. We can provide access for you to upload your forms on our secure website (just send as an e-mail request). We have a handful who send us pictures of their forms via text (406.490.1664).  We have retrieved client files from platforms logging into certain branded tax software accounts.  Clients near the Wilmington/Philadelphia area or in Montana or Illinois may make appointments to come into one of our office spaces.  In Montana we pick up in Butte, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls and Missoula and most points in that area.  All of the above work for us--and if there is something that isn't listed that works for you, we can probably make that work, too!

Response Times

  • When will I/we hear from you? How long will it take.

During the tax season (January 15 - April 15), we will respond fully to all messages daily.  New client returns are routinely completed, verified by the customer, and electronically filed within 12-24 hours after receiving all pertinent tax information;  returning clients receive **faster** expedited service.  We stay in communication with our clients through acceptance of returns and/or refunds are processed.  After tax season, new clients can expect to hear back from us within 48 hours (but usually faster) and clients within a day.
